Manorexia Becoming More Common
Manorexia, or male anorexia, is becoming more common according to a new study published in the American Journal of Psychiatry. They say that as many as 1 million men suffer from anorexia.
Not too long ago, Dennis Quaid admitted to suffering from anorexia. He said: “My arms were so skinny that I couldn’t pull myself out of a pool."
So what causes manorexia?
"You have these magazines where they're telling you this is the in thing. This is the in thing to wear. This is the way to look. This is the way to wear your hair. This is the way to get your six-pack abs. This is the way to get girls' attention. This is the way to be hunky and sexy," [Craig] Laue said. "At what cost?"
